The Under 15 Girls finally got their hands on some silverware, after being crowned champions of the Alan Boswell Cambridgeshire Women's and Girls League B Division.
Last season was a story of near misses, losing the County Cup Final and finishing just outside the promotion spaces in the B Division, but the team started well, winning their first 10 league games in a row (including 2 that were later removed from the record due to a team withdrawing from the league) but cup runs to the semi finals of both the Hunts FA County U16 Girls Cup, and the League Cup as well as a number of postponements meant the girls were always playing catch up in the league to top 2 Saffron Walden Community and Terrington Tigers. A couple of defeats and a draw at Downham Market meant that the team's fate was still in their own hands but they had used their last life, and a home win over Saffron Walden ended up proving crucial.
Well done to the girls on a great season, making the semi final of both cups and winning the division marks a great success and we look forward to the challenges of returning to the A Division after 2 seasons away.
