ICA Sports FC Match Preview, sponsored by Target HR and MD Flooring
Peterborough Sports FC (Dev) vs. ICA Sports FC
The Azzurri travel to face the "Turbines" Development Squad this Saturday at Lincoln Road, in the PDFL Premier Division.
PSL Dev sit in 5th place in the table with 41 points from their 20 matches. They have played 9 matches at home in all competitions this season; winning 6, drawing once and losing twice. Their last match at home saw a 0-4 reverse against league leaders Moulton Harrox, however home wins against Langtoft and Oakham preceded that.
ICA - who have taken 22 points from their 22 league games this season - moved up to 11th place following last week's win over Long Sutton. An Azzurri victory this weekend could see them move up to 9th place, should Oakham and Ketton fail to register wins from their tricky fixtures away to Thorney and Stamford Lions respectively. An ICA draw will still take them up to 9th should Oakham and Ketton lose, owing to the Azzurri's preferable goal difference.
The Azzurri and The Turbines "Dev" have already faced each other back in September at South Bretton Playing Field, with the latter securing a 3-1 victory even after conceding the first goal and having a player dismissed in the first half.
