ICA travelled to Girls United on Saturday 12th February off the back of not conceding a goal in the last 3 outings. It was always going to be an interesting fixture as the reverse Home game see Girls United quiet comfortably take the win.
As we have seen in recent weeks ICA have a new found confidence both on and off the pitch and started very brightly. There was some great attacking and defending by both teams who were quiet even at cancelling each other out. Girls United made quiet a few breaks through early on but were unable to get by the defence and in form Ruby in goal.
The decisive moment came from a moment where ICA played out from the back but Girls United were just that little bit too quick.
The final quarter see ICA push hard, but were left disappointed as the post stood in the way.
Leading the game at the weekend, Craig Miller had to say "the girls knew today was going to be a difficult game, but did themselves very proud"
The end of the game see 2 awards handed out for 'Girl of the Match' and 'Best Effort'
Girl of the Match = Poppy
Best Effort = Lilly
